The Value of Professional Outdoor Architecture

Investing in high-end outdoor living services does more than just improve your weekend relaxation; it fundamentally shifts how you utilize your entire property. Many homeowners find that by creating a functional, beautiful exterior environment, they effectively increase the usable square footage of their home without the disruption of completely altering their indoor floor plan.

When you choose KMGC for your deck and patio construction project, you are partnering with a licensed general contractor capable of managing every detail from foundation to final finish. We handle the complex zoning laws, neighborhood HOA approvals, and rigorous structural engineering required for Peachtree City homes. Our team ensures that your new porch, deck, or patio seamlessly coordinates with your existing home architecture, making it look as though it was built with the original structure.

Decks

A custom deck is often the centerpiece of modern outdoor living services. It acts as an elevated stage for entertainment, dining, and relaxation. However, a deck is also a complex structural system exposed to harsh sunlight, heavy rain, and fluctuating humidity. That is why our approach to deck and patio construction prioritizes structural fortitude alongside visual perfection.

Premium Material Options

We believe that exceptional outdoor living services rely entirely on the quality of the materials used. During our initial consultation, we walk you through the distinct benefits of various decking materials to find the perfect match for your lifestyle:

Composite Decking: As a leading provider of deck installation, we frequently recommend high-performance composite brands like Trex or TimberTech. These materials resist fading, staining, scratching, and mold, providing a luxury aesthetic with virtually zero maintenance.
Natural Pressure-Treated Lumber: For homeowners who love the timeless warmth of authentic wood, we utilize premium, select-grade pressure-treated southern yellow pine. We treat and seal every structural piece to ensure maximum defense against rot and pests.
Exotic Hardwoods: If you desire an ultra-luxury finish, we offer rich exotic woods such as Ipe or Tigerwood. These dense woods provide natural fire resistance and unrivaled longevity, serving as an exceptional foundation for our premium deck and patio construction projects.

Structural Integrity Behind the Scenes

As an experienced general contractor, we never cut corners on what you cannot see. Our deck frames are engineered to exceed local building codes, utilizing heavy-duty joist hangers, proper ledger board flashing, and deeply poured concrete footings. This rigorous attention to detail ensures your deck remains perfectly level, solid, and safe for decades to come.

Covered Porches

If you prefer a comfortable outdoor living space protected from the elements, our covered porch solutions are the ideal addition to your personalized outdoor living services. A professionally designed covered porch provides a durable, stylish extension of your home that delivers shade, weather protection, and year-round usability while enhancing both comfort and curb appeal.

Our Approach to Covered Porch Construction

True craftsmanship in covered porch construction is defined by structural integrity, proper load support, and long-term weather resistance. Many porch builds fail over time due to poor framing, inadequate roofing integration, and lack of moisture protection. Our detailed installation process ensures a finished structure that is both beautiful and built to last:

Structural Framing & Support Engineering: We construct a reinforced frame designed to properly support roof loads while ensuring long-term stability and safety.
Roof Integration & Weather Protection: We seamlessly tie the covered porch into your existing roofline, using proper flashing and sealing techniques to prevent leaks and water intrusion.
Material Selection & Finish Options:From wood and composite materials to custom trim and design finishes, we tailor every porch to match your home’s style and durability needs.
Drainage & Moisture Control: We incorporate proper slope, runoff management, and protective barriers to ensure water is directed away from your home and foundation.

By integrating covered porches into your outdoor living design, we can create functional extensions of your home that connect indoor and outdoor spaces, perfect for relaxing, entertaining, and everyday use.

Our Approach to Outdoor Fireplace Construction

True craftsmanship in outdoor fireplace construction is defined by structural safety, heat-resistant materials, and proper airflow design. Many fireplaces fail over time due to poor foundation work, improper firebox construction, and lack of weather protection. Our process ensures a durable, safe, and visually striking centerpiece for your outdoor space:

Foundation & Structural Base: We build a reinforced foundation designed to support the weight and heat demands of a permanent fireplace structure.
Fire-Resistant Material Installation: We use high-temperature-rated stone, brick, and masonry materials engineered to withstand direct heat exposure and long-term use.
Proper Venting & Airflow Design: We construct fireplaces with correct ventilation pathways to ensure efficient burning, smoke control, and safe operation.

By integrating outdoor fireplaces into your landscape design, we create a strong focal point that enhances relaxation, entertainment, and year-round outdoor enjoyment.

Underdeck Systems

If you’re looking to maximize the usable space beneath your elevated deck while protecting it from moisture and runoff, our underdeck system solutions are the ideal addition to your personalized outdoor living services. A professionally installed underdeck system transforms unused space into a dry, functional area while improving drainage, comfort, and the overall value of your outdoor structure.

Our Approach to Underdeck System Installation

True quality in underdeck systems comes from precise water management, secure framing integration, and durable materials designed for long-term performance. Many systems fail due to poor sealing, inadequate slope control, and improper drainage routing. Our installation process ensures a clean, watertight finish that performs reliably in all weather conditions:

Water Diversion & Drainage Planning: We design and install a system that properly captures and redirects water away from your deck structure and foundation.
Structural Integration: We securely attach the system to your existing deck framing to ensure stability, proper alignment, and long-term durability.
Seamless Panel Installation: We install high-quality panels and channels that create a clean ceiling appearance while effectively managing water flow.

By integrating underdeck systems into your outdoor construction, we help you fully utilize your space while protecting your investment and enhancing the functionality of your backyard.

Luxury Screened Porches and Covered Pavilions

While open-air spaces are wonderful, the intense Georgia summer heat and unpredictable rain showers can sometimes cut your time outside short. That is why our comprehensive outdoor living services include custom porches and pavilions designed to give you total control over your environment.

Screened-In Porches

A custom screened porch provides the absolute best of both worlds: the fresh breeze and soothing sounds of nature, completely free from intense UV rays and biting insects. Our custom porch designs go far beyond basic aluminum enclosures. We build sophisticated structures featuring vaulted ceilings, exposed timber trusses, tongue-and-groove cedar ceilings, and integrated ceiling fans. It creates a seamless transition between your interior renovations and your outdoor environment.

Covered Pavilions and Pergolas

If you want to create a dedicated destination spot in your backyard, a detached covered pavilion or artisan pergola is an excellent choice. As a skilled custom general contractor, we can construct pavilions featuring full masonry outdoor kitchens, stone feature walls with mounted televisions, and integrated lighting. These structures become the ultimate hub for hosting game days, birthday parties, or cozy family dinners under the stars.

At Kevin Montondo General Construction, we are uniquely positioned because our expertise extends far beyond just deck and patio construction. Because we are an elite, full-service building company, we can easily tie your new outdoor amenities into larger exterior renovation or home additions projects.

Kevin listened to what we wanted but also gave some suggestions of different ways to complete the job. We ended up going with his solution as that was going to be the most cost effective way to complete the job! Not only do they do incredible work but they communicated with me through the entire process!!! When issues arise Kevin works through them and is not happy till you are. I would definitely recommend Kevin and his team and will use them again on future projects.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an exceptional experience working with Kevin Montondo and his team on our kitchen remodel. From start to finish, the entire project felt organized, intentional, and well managed. They did an amazing job staying on schedule, communicating clearly, and taking the time to explain things along the way so we always felt informed and comfortable with decisions.

What I appreciated most was Kevin’s adaptability. As our vision shifted and evolved throughout the project, he stayed solution-oriented, flexible, and collaborative instead of making changes feel difficult or frustrating. That mattered a lot to us. The final work product was exceptional — the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall execution truly exceeded expectations.

Their pricing was also very fair and regionally competitive for the level of quality and professionalism they delivered. On top of that, their crew was consistently respectful of our home and space throughout the remodel, which does not go unnoticed during a project of this scale.

we genuinely trusted Kevin throughout this process and really valued the way he leads his team and communicates with clients. We will absolutely be doing more projects with him in the future, and I would highly recommend Kevin and his team to anyone looking for quality work, integrity, and a contractor they can trust. :)

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kevin has done many jobs for me throughout the years. He installed new windows throughout the house, renovated master bath, guest bath, & kitchen. His team is professional & they do a thorough job. He also painted the interior when he did my master bath & kitchen. I trust them in my house when I’m not there. I have more future projects in mind & will not consider anyone else to do the work. I highly recommend Kevin. You won’t be disappointed!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. KMGC replaced our deck with TimberTech for us between January and February 2026. Chase was incredibly responsive and patient with us as we went through multiple iterations of what we wanted (expanding scope!)- even days before new concrete patio was poured, allowing to expand patio beyond original ask. They were willing (and ultimately able) to reuse existing metal railings to help save money on the budget. They kept us well informed of the process, what was happening when. After the build was complete we noticed one board that was pulling up and not secured- they came out and took care of fixing it right away.
Very happy with our deck (with underdecking) and patio and have already called them to quote the next project!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kevin, Chase & their team of dedicated, consummate professionals really do what they say! Honest, rightly priced, great local all-in-one home construction company !!

Chase & I priced out multiple different projects. He was very patient with me as my dynamic situation caused re-prioritization of work a few times.

Ultimately, they planned & finished my new roof, including a new metal accent roof over my wrap around front porch & new upstairs skylight window with ease & efficiency!

When I originally booked the project for just my bathroom skylight in the cold winter months of GA, they expertly asked me to wait for warmer weather to ensure proper sealant adhesion. They ordered & stored my window next to Kevin’s desk almost 4 months!! Sooo happy I waited! It’s all done & gorgeous now!!

From the covered patio addition, custom brick facing fireplace, stacking sliding door and even a fresh exterior paint job on the whole house to top it off. Was able to stay within budget and get it done just they we wanted. Would recommend them 10 out of 10 times.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kevin Montondo knows homes in Peachtree City's established neighborhoods when it comes to renovations as well as how to modify or enhance any home. He renovated my bathroom, giving tons of storage and a huge shower to a small space. He knows color choice -- the paint color he recommended for our interior 10+ years ago still gets compliments - and he offers the best suggestions for the space, style and function of your home. Let his company do your painting and you will never want to do it yourself again.
